The corporation may also have offices at such other places, within or without the State of California, where it is qualify to do business, as its business may require and as the board of directors may, from time to time, designate.
SECTION 1. OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES
The primary objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be:
1. Provide opportunities for people to learn about and appreciate the hobby of model railroading through active participation in research, construction, operation and display of the Sonoma County Model Railroad Society model railroad layout.
2. Provide opportunities for people to develop their skills in the art and craft of model railroading and to pass this knowledge on to other model railroaders and to the general public.
3. To educate persons engaged in model railroading in the methods of building and operating model railroad equipment and prototype practices. This educational process takes place through group work sessions, open houses, descriptive brochures and handouts, annual show and youth activities.
4. Share information and an appreciation for rail transportation's place in the history of Sonoma County and the Western United States.
5. To advance the hobby of model railroading wherever possible by sharing information with other model railroading associations and clubs and all things necessary or incidental to the foregoing practices.
SECTION 1. NUMBER AND QUALIFICATIONS OF DIRECTORS
(a) The corporation shall have not less than two (2) nor more than five (5) directors, with the exact number to be fixed within these limits by approval of the Board of Directors or the members, if any, in the manner provided in these Bylaws.
(b) The qualifications for directors are that they be Full members of the Sonoma County Model Railroad Society in good standing.
